The company has a rich heritage in refrigerated foods starting with a secret, homemade salsa recipe made by a family in Mexico and brought to the U.S. in 1965. This original Rojo’s Salsa grew by word of mouth until 1985 when the company was officially formed. The company was incorporated in 1992 under the Senor Felix Gourmet Food Company. Senor Felix was acquired by Swander Pace Capital, a private equity firm, in 1998. Four years later, SPC acquired Chilay Foods and Itella Foods and combined the three companies into a new entity, Fresh Food Concepts. All of FFC’s products are produced in our state of the art facility in Buena Park, California.
The company offers both branded and private label products. Our brands include: Fresh Food Concepts, Rojo’s, San Francisco, De La Casa, Rio de Oro, Casa De Rosas, Delicioso, Pacific Pier, Puerto Nuevo and Senior Felix.
